Total Wine Expands ~ Beer, Bourbon & Beaujolais

Updated: Nov 9, 2021

Our region is home to 98 Craft Breweries between Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties and the new Total Wine Store in Wesley Chapel made sure these beers are showcased, as well as offering a bigger selection of bourbon, whiskey and wine.

The Brewery District is expansive and has a concierge to help you find your selection. The signage pays homage to the Craft Beers being Florida made and highlighting a few of the local breweries.

Their Distillery section is another enhancement, as Bourbon has been experiencing a resurgence like never before in history. Major distilleries are expanding their operation at a feverish pace to keep up with demand and Total Wine has made sure they have the choices shoppers are looking for.

Bern's Restaurant and the Epicurean Hotel put on a Whiskey Foxtrot Festival each year featuring several days of unique whiskey dinners. I went to their VIP Grand Tasting a couple of years ago, as a culmination of the week's festivities, featuring a sampling of over 200 handcrafted whiskey's. The tickets for those events sell out quickly and is a local favorite.

Now those bourbon and whiskey lovers can stock up at The Distillery.

At Total Wine, not only can you purchase your favorite bourbon brands but there are also fine and rare selections to peruse.

After choosing your Craft Beer for the football games, and Bourbon to enjoy on a Friday night, this Total Wine location also has an expanded Cigar area to pick up those stogies to enjoy with your bourbon.

If you are not into craft beer or bourbon, and are just shopping for wine to refill your wine refrigerator or wine cellar after a summer of partying, their wine area has also expanded with a Cellar Selection of specialty brands. Which include some of my favorites!

These enhancements are part of the improvements made to this new Total Wine Store. If you're a fan of their Dale Mabry location, you will notice two areas that needed improvement; the narrow aisles and their small parking lot. This location has improved on both.

The store took over the old Earth Fare space after closing up during Covid, located at the end of a strip center across from the Tampa Premium Outlet Mall. It was already built out with plenty of space to spread out the aisles, so more than one shopping cart can get through, and allow for social distance shopping. There is also plenty of parking!

This area in Wesley Chapel has been expanding with new restaurants and retailers popping up every month, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. There is plenty of vacant land to continue to build out and a Total Wine store was just what the area needed.

If you find yourself in that area for shopping at the Premium Outlets or eating at one of the many restaurants, go into the new Total Wine store. I'm sure you won't leave without purchasing a few bottles of your favorite libation.
